18 x 14 colored pencil painting on Bristol Velum-smooth. This was four months in the making using Prismacolor Soft Pencils, Gamsol solvent in some places for blending and removing the pencil mottling. I used a small amount of white Gauche for the highlights. The reference photo was from a collection of shots that my brother took during a fly fishing trip. This is a German Brown Trout on a weathered bench along with a 5 weight fly rod and reel. Did I mention it took four months! The devil is in the details for me.
